KIWI Magazine

Graphic Design (2018–2022)
Project Overview
KIWI Magazine is a quarterly digital magazine that helps parents grow their families the natural and organic way. Each issue includes seasonal recipes, kid-friendly crafts, and tips on everything from parenting to sustainability. The magazine's design had to be an extension of KIWI's visual identity—colorful, approachable, and family-friendly.
My Contributions
I worked as the lead designer and art director on all KIWI issues alongside the Editorial Director and our writers. I updated seasonal content in templated pages, designed multi-page spreads for feature content, and assisted in layout for the final issue. I also designed emails, social media graphics, and other marketing assets for the launch and advertisement of the magazine.

On occasion, I even helped develop and photograph images for feature stories.
Editorial Features
KIWI ran feature articles on a variety of topics, including parenting, nutrition, sustainability, and wellness. They required multi-spread designs that maintained KIWI's friendly and unpretentious voice while tackling heavy topics such as mental health and climate change.
Shopping Guides
Parents turn to KIWI for trusted suggestions of better-for-you products across all categories. KIWI often published featured eco-friendly guides for back-to-school shopping and holiday gifting for the whole family.
Content Creation and Photography
On a small team, you wear many hats. I worked with KIWI’s Editorial Director to develop seasonal crafts for a feature in the Fall 2022 edition. I photographed, edited, and designed around the images you see below for a fun (and silly) article on kid-friendly Halloween crafts.
Recipes
Easy, healthy recipes are a pillar of KIWI's content. Recipe spreads featured bright and colorful photography alongside fresh ingredients and simple instructions for kid-friendly lunches, family dinners, or holiday sides.
